Service: Fall Stream Clean Up Community Service Project

Our next Community Service Project will be the Fall stream clean up at the Four-mile Creek in Matthews.

Come out and get some exercise while hanging out with fellow Rotarians and enjoying the great outdoors! Whether you choose to be in the water or on land, it’s always a fun time. Included or attached is a map of Four-mile Creek.  

We will have gloves; bags; grabbers; boots and waders.

Service: Matthews Parks & Rec Community Service Project

Nov. 18 is the next Community Service Project - We are scheduled to help Matthews Parks & Rec with a service project at Squirrel Lake Park on Pleasant Plains Rd.

Come help us pick up trash and eradicate some invasive plant life that is taking over the park. This is in cooperation with the Matthews Rotary Club, Matthews Kiwanis Club and HAWK. 

Water and light snacks will be provided.

In lieu of our normal Club's weekly meeting, we will be honoring our Veterans and hosting lunch. 

Veterans are invited to a celebration in your honor! Please join Matthews Rotary Club for lunch as our honored guest. The Rotary Club motto is "Service Above Self" and on this Veterans Day we'd like to THANK YOU for your dedicaiton, commitment and service.

Weekly Club Meeting

Join us at the Levine Senior Center for our weekly meeting.

Our speaker this week is Michael Reddington. Not only is he a dynamic Speaker and Presenter, but to top it off, he is a fellow Rotarian with the Waxhaw/Weddington Rotary Club.

Michael is an expert as a Certified Forensic Interviewer. Staying true to his roots, Michael remains very involved in interview and interrogation training and consulting. After leading hundreds of programs, training thousands of participants and speaking at several national conferences he continues to enjoy the opportunity to train and learn from private sector investigators, human resource professionals, educators, law enforcement officers, and federal agents. His energetic presentations are enhanced by the interviews and interrogations he conducts on behalf of clients in both the private and public sectors. 

As the Vice President of Executive Education for Wicklander-Zulawski & Associates, Inc. (WZ). Michael has facilitated hundreds of seminars and trained thousands of professionals across the United States, Canada, Europe, the United Kingdom, Africa and the Middle East. With Michael it’s never a presentation, it’s always an experience.
