The Rotary Club of Matthews is made up of COMMUNITY LEADERS with A WIDE RANGE OF VOCATIONS. From doctors and lawyers to bankers and educators - our club is committed to making a positive impact in the Matthews community.

We meet on most Mondays at the Matthews Levine Senior Center from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. for lunch and fellowship. Please check our Events page to confirm. We usually have a speaker of interest join us at our weekly meetings along with social events throughout the year for members and spouses. Our club's quarterly dues cover the weekly meal, club administration, Rotary International dues, social events, and a subscription to The Rotarian, our international magazine.

Our motto is “Service Above Self.”

Through “Service Above Self” we help build goodwill and peace in the world. We have four avenues of service for our members: community, international, vocational, and club service. Some examples include:
• Youth and adult exchange visits with other countries
• Veterans Memorial at Stumptown Park
• Veteran’s Day Luncheon
• Various projects in Peru
• Fireman, Police, Teachers and Citizens of the Year Awards
• Spring Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser
• Raised funds for Matthews Help Center, Rotary International Polio Plus, Matthews Free Medical Clinic, William Riley Memorial Scholarship, and more
